The Annotation Studio is the capstone experience of The Annotation Academy. It brings together learners from both Pathway A (Social Reading & Collaborative Annotation) and Pathway B (Critical Annotation & Re/Marks on Power) to annotate a shared text together as a learning community, producing a richly layered artifact that synthesizes collaborative reading, critical analysis, and collective knowledge construction.
Participate in a sustained, multi-week collaborative annotation synthesizing skills from both Academy pathways
Contribute annotations demonstrating the full range of annotation's functions: providing information, sharing commentary, sparking conversation, expressing power, and aiding learning
Practice epistemic expressions while applying critical literacy concepts like re/marks and counternarrative
Co-facilitate at least one phase of the collaborative reading experience
Produce a reflective portfolio synthesizing learning across the entire Academy experience
